I've got one or two more ideas on how to establish views etc, that i'd like to incorporate in the new post too. I have some new ones in the works that will work over SOAP and hopefully these will be officially accepted into the ActiveMerchant framework.

You can keep up with this here:

http://jadedpixel.lighthouseapp.com/projects/11599/tickets/17-patch-creating-paypal-recurring-payments-profile-with-activemerchantJonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17482069451853813333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033945969374781589.post-70937130585586949762009-01-07T07:07:00.000-08:002009-01-07T07:07:00.000-08:00So, good questions. that got me thinking i need to...So, good questions. that got me thinking i need to write a day two support system for subscription based apps.

how to handle a client with an expired credit card #, after the Paypal profile is created. (say five months, a year and a half from now). I think that is where IPN comes in and i have some ideas on letting new IPN messages log in an app... or worse, would be to run a profile_id lookup on all of the id's at once...

I still like using the paypal management link to manage the credit card/day to day stuff, it just would be nice to suspend users upon certain IPN notifications.nerbie69https://www.blogger.com/profile/00829233647136943532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033945969374781589.post-62049546931157714442008-12-26T15:29:00.000-08:002008-12-26T15:29:00.000-08:00Great Question. There are a couple of methods i haven't had the opportunity to play with yet that may AID in answering this question, however, i personally would use the paypal interface for this account management stuff.

Once i launch my new app, i'll be tackling these kinds of questions shortly and will post "Day 2 support" or "How to administer your paying customers after the first month".nerbie69https://www.blogger.com/profile/00829233647136943532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033945969374781589.post-37992887647137942752008-12-25T09:48:00.000-08:002008-12-25T09:48:00.000-08:00ok, but what should I do when new month is came?
